Our new exhibition in Geneva : “Heures Flamandes”
From 30 November to 2 February 2018
As the year draws to a close, De Jonckheere Geneva is exhibiting its latest acquisitions of old masters. Featuring a few icons among a number of discoveries, the exhibition allows us to immerse ourselves in the art we love. On show will be a Bird trap by Pieter Brueghel the Younger, a portrait of Francis I’s favourite by Corneille de Lyon and an astounding Entombment of Christ by Maarten van Heemskerck, among others. With the loan of six still lifes to the Baur Foundation for the ‘Bleu des Mers’ exhibition, and a Tower of Babel by Abel Grimmer to the Martin Bodmer Foundation for its ‘Les routes de la traduction’ show, Geneva is brimming with emblematic paintings from the northern schools: the perfect excuse to stop by for a visit on your way to the snowy Alpine summits!
