New collection, New exhibition, New catalogue !
Multiple discoveries have animated our acquisitions over the past months. On this occasion, we are pleased to announce the publication of our latest catalogue, embodying the esteemed paintings advanced in our new exhibition in Geneva and then at Tefaf in Maastricht, in March 2019.
After over forty years, our taste, like that of connoisseurs, has to a certain degree evolved. This selection of paintings further seals our will to exhibit powerful artists, astonishing subjects and singular factures.
Harvesters gathered around a meal or the Magi depicted in snow, the many icons of Pieter Brueghel the Younger are ubiquitous in this collection. Equally essential, are Cranach’s portrayal of crimson eyes and rounded lips, alongside the fantastic and amusing bestiaries of Bosch’s followers. Founding this collection furthermore are exceptional works supported by compelling research, which allowed us to both discuss and situate the paintings.
